Password Genie to assist customers with inadequate passwords.

According to an article in HelpNet Security: The increasing processing power and the growing number of processors on graphic cards will soon make 7-character passwords “hopelessly inadequate” to withstand brute force attacks, say scientists from Georgia Tech Research Institute.

The article goes on to state that researchers advise users to start using 12-character passwords that combine lower and upper case letters, numbers, and symbols. The writer predicts that it is only a matter of time before online services mandate a much higher minimum requirement for passwords.

This is where Password Genie comes into play. Fully managed and supported by SecurityCoverage, Password Genie saves all of your website usernames and passwords so you never have to write them down or remember them again. All you need to remember is one master password that will manage your account.

Password Genie uses 256 bit AES encryption for the local password store and 128 bit SSL encryption when synchronizing between computers, both very trusted and safe encryption methods.  This encryption combined with your master password make Password Genie a safer alternative to pen and paper, notebooks, or built-in browser functionality.
